PLA Military Academy

The PLA Army Officer College (renamed in August 2011 and founded on November 2) was rebuilt from the former Artillery College of the PLA. Its predecessor was Hefei Artillery College. Its headquarters is in Hefei. The Army Officer College (Headquarters) is an institution of higher learning that trains junior Army Command officers at or above the undergraduate level. The predecessor of Hefei Artillery College is the artillery Technical College of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, which is listed as a national key college. At present, the college has the right to confer bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree in engineering, management and military science, and has the right to recommend postgraduates without examination. The army officer college is the only college in the whole army, so the main task of which is to train junior commanding officers of the main combat arms of the army. It will become the cradle of junior commanding officers of the main combat arms of the PLA, such as infantry, artillery, air defense and armored forces.
