Jingdezhen Ceramic university is the only multi-disciplinary undergraduate university named after ceramics in China. It is one of the 30 independent undergraduate art universities in China and one of the first batch of 94 universities that are qualified to enroll overseas students with master's and bachelor's degrees under the Chinese government scholarship. It has been approved as a university supported by the basic ability construction project of universities in central and Western China. Historical evolution: the school's predecessor was the Chinese ceramics school founded in 1910; Jiangxi ceramics college, established in 1947, became one of the five colleges in Jiangxi Province at that time; Jingdezhen ceramics college, established in 1958, was subordinate to the former Ministry of light industry. In 1998, the school management system was transformed into the joint construction of the central government and Jiangxi Province, with Jiangxi Province as the main management.
