Heilongjiang Institute of engineering is located in Harbin, a famous northern city with beautiful scenery. Founded in 1952, the school was formerly Heilongjiang Communications College Affiliated to Heilongjiang Provincial Department of communications and Harbin Engineering College Affiliated to the former Ministry of metallurgy. In March 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Heilongjiang Institute of engineering was incorporated and renamed as Heilongjiang Institute of engineering.
