Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College

Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College was upgraded from Anhui Huangmei Opera School. Its predecessor was anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe actor training class founded in 1956. Anqing art school was established on August 1, 1958. It was renamed Anhui Anqing Huangmei Opera School in 1963. In 1969, it was closed due to the cultural revolution. In 1976, it reopened the training class. In 1979, it was officially renamed Anhui Huangmei Opera School The current school name was adopted in 2012.

The school is located in Anqing, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It is the only comprehensive higher art school in China that focuses on the cultivation of performing arts talents of Huangmei Opera. At present, there are seven Art Majors in Huangmei opera performance, music, fine arts, mass culture and art, dance, film and television performance and acrobatics. Among them, Huangmei opera performance is the only characteristic traditional specialty in China. At the same time, the school also set up six non art majors, including electronic technology application, computer and application, numerical control technology, mechanical and electrical technology application, goods storage and distribution (Logistics Management), tourism service and management.
