Regarding the US action, Taiwan's "United News Network" said that the "Kidd" action was the eighth time that the US Navy had passed through the Taiwan Strait since US President Biden took office. The island's green media "freedom times" said that this is the first time since Biden took office that a US Navy and coast guard ship have passed through the Taiwan Strait at the same time.
The freedom Times said that the last time a US Coast Guard ship passed through the Taiwan Strait was on March 4, 2019, when the US Coast Guard's anti smuggling ship "Basov" and the US Navy's Destroyer "Curtis Wilbur" passed through the Taiwan Strait. The eastern theater of the Chinese people's Liberation Army organized troops to follow, monitor and guard US ships throughout their operations. The US side has frequently carried out similar provocative acts of a very bad nature, which fully shows that the United States is the biggest destroyer of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the biggest maker of security risks in the Taiwan Strait. Tan Kefei said that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China. The Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affairs and does not allow any external interference. We demand that the United States recognize the situation, stop provocation, abide by the one China principle and the provisions of the three Sino US joint communiques, and do not create obstacles to Sino US military relations and undermine peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait region. The Chinese army has always maintained a high degree of vigilance and resolutely defended national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
