Perennial herbs, 20-40 cm high. Tuber oblong, surrounded by granulation, there are many fibrous roots. The tuber has one leaf at the top, with long leaf sheath; the petiole is fleshy, with purple spots; the leaf is bird toe shaped, 5 leaflets, 3 leaflets at the beginning, the leaflets are oblong or ovate lanceolate, 12-14 cm long, 6-6.5 cm wide, the apex is acute, the base is round or broadly cuneate, with purple spots below. Flowers unisexual, dioecious; fleshy inflorescence; with spathe, male flowers small and numerous; female flowers densely arranged, ovary 1-locular. Bear berries.
Born at the entrance of deep mountain. It is distributed in Guizhou and other places.
