Deciduous shrub, 1-4 m high. Branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate; leaves elliptic or ovate lanceolate, 2-6 cm long, apex acute, margin serrate, both sides hairy. Flowers clustered in axils; lavender or white. Drupe globose, bright red at maturity. The flowering period is June.
Grown in hillside shrubs or gardens. Distributed in Jiangxi, Fujian and other places.
