Zhangye County
Zhangye county was originally the land of kunxie king of Xiongnu. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, Zhangye county was set up in the east of Jiuquan county. In the sixth year of the first Yuan Dynasty (81 BC), Emperor Zhao ruled Chende county (in the northwest of Ganzhou District of Zhangye City) in the late Western Han Dynasty. Lingshi counties: Chende, Zhaowu, xiudan, Dichi, Wulan, rile, Lihe, Fanhe, Juyan, XianMei. Its jurisdiction is roughly equivalent to the west of Yongchang County and the east of Gaotai County in Gansu Province, as well as Ejina Banner in Inner Mongolia, Zhike (Jiaole) de County, and Zhike in the northwest of Zhangye City.
