Zhang Ji

Zhang Ji (about 766-830), a poet of Tang Dynasty, was born in Wujiang, Hezhou (now Wujiang Town, Hexian County, Anhui Province). The Han nationality, whose ancestors migrated to Hezhou, was born in Wujiang, Hezhou (now Wujiang Town, Hexian County, Anhui Province). It is known as "Zhang Shuibu" and "Zhang Siye" in the world. Zhang Ji is the eldest disciple of Han Yu. His Yuefu Poems are as famous as Wang Jian's, and are also called "Zhangwang Yuefu". His representative works include Autumn Thoughts, festival women's chants, wild old songs and so on.

Later, Li Shen, Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi had close friends and were the advocators and participants of the new Yuefu movement.

Life of the characters

Zhang Ji (about 766-830) was a poet in the middle and late Tang Dynasty. At the beginning of Zhenyuan Dynasty, he studied poetry with Wang Jian in Weizhou and later returned to Hezhou. In 796, Mengjiao went to Hezhou and visited Zhang Ji. In the 14th year of Zhenyuan, Zhang Ji traveled to the north and met Han Yu in bianzhou after being introduced by Meng Jiao. Han Yu was a Jinshi examiner in bianzhou and recommended Zhang Ji. He was a Jinshi in Chang'an in the 15th year of Zhenyuan. In the first year of Yuanhe (806), Taizhu, a member of Taichang temple, met Bai Juyi and compared with each other, which had a positive impact on their own creation. Zhang Ji was Tai Zhu for 10 years. He was almost blind due to eye disease. The Ming people called him "poor and blind Zhang Tai Zhu". In the 11th year of Yuanhe, he was transferred to the Imperial College as a teaching assistant. 15 years later, he moved to Secretary Lang. In the first year of Changqing (821), he was recommended by Han Yue as a doctor of Guozi, moved to wailang, a member of the Ministry of water, and moved to a doctor. In the second year of Dahe (828), he moved to the state. In the book of Wu Zhong Xian Pu, Su Wen compiled and painted Zhang Ji's poems in the late Southern Tang Dynasty. In the last years of the Southern Song Dynasty, tangzhong was mainly composed of the manuscripts of the eighth year of Yuanfeng, which were collected by the family, and collated by each edition. It was compiled into 8 volumes of Zhang Siye collection and Appendix 1 volume, which was printed by Wei Jun in Pingjiang. There are four volumes of Zhang Wenchang's anthology, which is a collection of Tang people's anthologies. There are 8 volumes of Tang Zhang Siye poetry anthology, collected more than 450 poems in Jiajing Wanli period of Ming Dynasty.

In 1958, Zhonghua Book Company in Shanghai took it as the base book and collated, deleted and supplemented it with reference to the existing books. It was compiled into 8 volumes of Zhang Ji's poetry anthology, which collected more than 480 poems. In addition, Zhang Ji has two volumes of annotation and discrimination of the Analects of Confucius.

There are three periods in Zhang Ji's poetry creation. It is early before 40 years old. 40-50 years old is the middle period, and most of his excellent Yuefu songs are written in this period. After 50 years old, it is late stage. At this time, life gradually became stable. Besides writing Yuefu songs, he wrote more modern poems. He was an active supporter and promoter of the new Yuefu movement in the middle Tang Dynasty. Many of his Yuefu Poems reflect the social reality at that time and show sympathy for the people.
