Professor Sun Xiong, male, was born in 1963 in Yongkang, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from the Department of philosophy of Sichuan University in 1985 and studied in Zhejiang University in 2002 with a doctor's degree.
He is currently the deputy director and professor of the teaching and Research Department of sociology and culture of the Party School of Zhejiang provincial Party committee, the deputy director of the Institute of contemporary social and cultural development, the deputy leader of the postgraduate Guidance Group, the executive director and Deputy Secretary General of Zhejiang philosophy society, and the executive director of Zhejiang Marxism society. Mainly engaged in western philosophy, culture, religious sociology research. He published a monograph "between saints and customs - A Study on the interaction between religion and social development", and co authored 5 academic works. He has published more than 30 academic papers, such as "the tension between religion and society and its institutional arrangement" and "the development of religion in the context of globalization" in philosophical studies, modern philosophy, world religious culture and other academic journals. The research achievements won one second prize of the National Party school system, two first prizes of the provincial Party school system, and one second prize of excellent achievements of "Dong's literature, history and Philosophy Research Award Fund" of Zhejiang University. He presided over 1 key project of provincial planning, 1 general project, 2 key projects of provincial social Federation, 1 project of Deng Xiaoping theory research center of Party school system, 1 key project of Party School of provincial Party committee, and participated in 2 major projects entrusted by provincial Party committee and government. He lectured in various main classes of the Party School of the provincial Party Committee on such topics as "ethnic and religious issues in today's world and their impact on China", "Chinese cultural development in the perspective of globalization" and "Chinese religious culture and social harmony".
