The magic of blind chess
On the morning of August 9, 2006, Liu Dahua, the first man-machine warm-up game of Chinese chess in the "wave Cup", namely the one-to-five game of Liu Dahua's blind chess performance competition, finally dropped the last particle. Liu Dahua won three games, drew one game and lost one game. At the same time, he defeated 25 network amateurs. During the game, Liu Dahua was calm, with his back to the chessboard and the players. He listened carefully to each group's moves reported by the referee. After a bit of thinking, he reported his response to each round of each game. In the whole process of the blind chess performance, the rhythm of the two sides seems to be beyond people's imagination before the game, and soon a group of amateur players were defeated. Master Liu always faces the audience, not rich in expression, but full of confidence. After the game, the master said he was very satisfied with the result of the game. He said, "this result is better than my own prediction before the game. After all, one person against five groups will consume a lot of energy." Interestingly, among the 25 challengers Liu Dahua recognized after the game, in addition to some online chess enthusiasts, there are indeed some domestic chess masters, even friends he knows.
In China, there are "four masters" in blind chess. Liu Dahua is known as "the first of the four masters" (the other three are Hu ronghua, Xu Tianhong and Li laiqun). However, with the increase of age, it is rare to play blind chess.
