Liu Fang
Liu Fang (former name: Liu Kun), male, Han nationality, was born on November 18, 1912 in Linqing County, Shandong Province. He joined the revolution in May 1934. He joined the Communist Party of China in November of the same year.
Comrade Liu Fang once participated in the "12.9" movement. In 1937, he took part in the training class of Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. In 1938, he served as deputy head of the Field Service Regiment of the 51st army. In 1939, he served as director of the Propaganda Department, director of the United Front Work Department and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Henan Zhugou prefectural committee. In 1940, he was director of the Propaganda Department of the Political Department of the fifth division of the New Fourth Army, director of the Political Department of the 15th brigade and Secretary of the Xiangnan Working Committee. In 1944, he was the director of the Political Department of Xiangnan army. In 1946, he was appointed director of the Propaganda Department of the Political Department of the Central Plains military region. In 1947, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee (prefectural committee) of the CPC Liaobei Provincial Committee and director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Liaobei Provincial Committee. In 1948, he was the first deputy director of Fushun Mining Bureau. In 1952, he served as deputy director of the State Administration of petroleum. In 1954, he served as commercial counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the Soviet Union. In 1956, he served as assistant minister and vice minister of the Ministry of petroleum industry. He served as Chinese ambassador to Romania in 1960. In 1966, he was vice minister and Deputy Secretary of the Party group of the Sixth Ministry of machinery industry. He was a member of the sixth and seventh CPPCC National Committee. In August 1995, he left to recuperate. Enjoy positive ministerial treatment. He died in Beijing on November 26, 2007.
