Character evaluation
Wu Ziliu has always been a quiet and lonely man. He is in the literary circle, but he doesn't like to make friends with others. However, the films are explosive, especially in the war. He is very good at arranging big battles and freehand brushwork, and one of the major features of his creation is his thinking about war. The relationship between war and people, Xiaoer war and calling for peace are the motifs of his creation (a comprehensive review of fenghuang.com and Southern People Weekly).
As for the film industry, Wu Ziniu works hard and sticks to the feelings of the times. Wu Ziniu, a director with innocence and historical scars, is not the best in the fifth generation in terms of aesthetic exploration and practice. However, when the fifth generation directors have dispelled the meaning of their collective reference, Wu Ziniu is able to uphold the film concept and the feelings of the times. With his lasting and stable artistic expression, he became an indispensable member of the fifth generation. In Wu's film world, there are no directors or philosophers, but only children and poets. Heroes are not gods, and gangsters are not villains who can be saved. They are all human beings who support the eternal theme of human nature.
