Early experience
When he was young, Wang Yongfeng was naughty and mischievous. His father once "inspired" him like this: "he is a man. He washes his face with cold water every day, and goes for long-distance running and mountain climbing!" Wang Yongfeng is in his hometown Jining, where the temperature is - 30 ℃ in winter. He wears a pair of earmuffs and runs 5000 meters every day to exercise his physique.
He graduated from Beijing Institute of geology in 1984 and is now a graduate student in China University of Geosciences (formerly Beijing Institute of Geosciences).
In 1988, when China, Japan and Nepal joined forces to "double cross Mount Everest", as a "junior" in the team, he was not qualified to reach the top, only reached 8300 meters. Today, at the age of 45, Wang Yongfeng has conquered the highest peaks of seven continents in the world, and has hiked to the two poles of the Antarctic and the Arctic, completing the unimaginable "7 + 2", becoming a super idol in the minds of many climbers.
In the understated memories of mountaineering, it is full of hardships and even dangers. In 1993, Wang Yongfeng and his team made an impact on the summit of Mount Everest. After the success of the summit, he was caught by the ice wall at 8700 meters and lost contact with the headquarters for 28 hours. Finally, he found a few abandoned oxygen bottles in the camp. But he also paid the price - he was forced to amputate three toes because of severe frostbite.
In the 11 years from the 1980s to the 1990s, he accomplished the feat of Chinese climbing all the highest peaks on seven continents for the first time, reaching the best level that a climber can reach.
Personal life
Wang Yongfeng said that mountaineering is actually a very attractive sport, although in the process of climbing, there will always be many unpredictable things. From another point of view, hiking, crossing, national fitness mountaineering is a good fitness exercise, outdoor sports can not only breathe fresh air, but also make the whole body exercise.
Wang Yongfeng said that the seven continents of the world, as well as the countries related to mountains in the Antarctic and Arctic, have been to almost all of them. In China, they have visited more places with mountains, such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Yunnan and Sichuan. He said that the mountains vary from place to place. For example, Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, is magnificent. Mount Vincent, the highest peak in Antarctica, is very far away. Mount McKinley, the highest peak in North America, is very dangerous and even more cruel with the changeable weather. Mount acongagua, the highest peak in South America, is exotic. Mount elbruz, the highest peak in Europe, is particularly open and comfortable. It is the most beautiful mountain in Africa Kilimanjaro, the peak, is a big volcano and snow mountain rising in the jungle, which is very romantic. From the flat ground to the 5000 meter mountain, you can see all kinds of vegetation. What's more mysterious is that you can see the tribes of primitive aborigines far away from modern life.
Wang Yongfeng said that every time I went down the mountain, every green grass on the ground moved me. Sometimes I really want to embrace a big tree, and even feel that people who ride bicycles on the street are happy. Life is the most precious, peace is the happiest. The more death tests you have, the more you feel about it. Wang Yongfeng said that although mountaineering has certain dangers, the coexistence of danger and challenge makes it more attractive. Therefore, with the improvement of people's living standards in recent years, especially the pursuit of the spirit of challenge by some urban people, the number of people who like outdoor leisure sports is growing. At present, there are more than 600 outdoor sports clubs in China.
Wang Yongfeng said that he likes the attitude of climbing and exploration in foreign countries. Foreign children have been climbing since childhood, and few of them are professional. For them, climbing is more fun.
avocation
Mountaineering is an international sport. We often have to communicate with foreign friends. Wang Yongfeng's fluent English often amazes some friends. Talking about his story of learning a foreign language makes many people feel funny. It is said that when the mountaineering team is free, everyone plays mahjong. When playing mahjong, he wears a Walkman to learn English. Mahjong loses. He counts the tuition for learning foreign languages.
Another is to take advantage of the injured time. For example, he came back from Mount Everest in 1993 and was hospitalized. He was amputated three toes. During the hospitalization, he listened to the BBC all the time, although he often fell asleep.
Coach
With the approaching of Beijing Olympic Games, the activity of "fitness for all with the Olympic Games" has set off an upsurge in the north and south of the river. Under the guidance of China Mountaineering Association and sponsored by sanlejiang Pharmaceutical Group, the 2007 "sanlejiang carry forward the Olympic spirit and experience the charm of Tibet" activity was launched in Chengdu on January 16. As one of the series activities of "mass mountaineering fitness and Olympic travel" of China Mountaineering Association in 2007, it attracted people's attention for the first time to choose teenagers to Tibet. Li Zhixin, director of the mountaineering management center of the General Administration of sport of the people's Republic of China, said that it is a beneficial attempt to organize activities such as "sanleyiang outdoor sports club" for teenagers to go to the plateau to "carry forward the Olympic spirit and experience the charm of Tibet" before. It is reported that this activity will select 40 middle school students from Sichuan, Chongqing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places to form a group and go to Tibet in spring mountaineering season to experience the fun of outdoor sports.
On January 16, "sanlejiang outdoor sports club" was officially established in Chengdu. Li Xingwei, President of sanlejiang Pharmaceutical Group, presented the appointment letter of head coach to Wang Yongfeng, leader of China mountaineering team. On the same day, an awarding ceremony of "Sanle pulp - designated health products for Chinese mountaineering team and Chinese rock climbing team" was also held. Li Zhixin revealed that at present, under the unified leadership of BOCOG, Chinese mountaineers are stepping up their training and making every effort to ensure the first successful display of the Olympic torch on Mount Everest, the world's highest peak.
Personal motto
"Mountaineering, in fact, is a very safe sport; however, in the process of climbing, there will always be many unpredictable things, which is its charm."
