Shen Zhaonian
Shen Zhaonian (1879-1973), male, was born in Lushi Town, Tianmen, Hubei Province, and was a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. I like to collect gold and stone, gongfenzhuan, and in 1931, I set up a script for the Linhan hengfangbei of yizhonglu. He wrote the inscriptions on the gold and stone collected in Liulu. Biography of characters
In 1908, he was the supervisor and teacher of anlufu middle school. He got to know the members of the alliance and accepted the revolutionary ideas. After the first uprising broke out in Wuchang in 1911, he joined the league and served as the Secretary of the first Police Department of the uprising. He joined the Kuomintang in August 1912. The next year, he served as section chief and Secretary of the Finance Department of Hubei provincial government. In 1926, he served as the section chief and acting director of the Treasury Bureau of the Ministry of finance of the national government, and later served as the director of the Treasury Branch of the Ministry of Finance in China. He was a member of Hubei provincial government and director of the Department of Finance in 1932. He was a member and speaker of Hubei provisional parliament in 1940. After the founding of new China, Shen Zhaonian served successively as a member of the finance and Economics Committee of central and southern China and Hubei Province, the first chairman of the cultural relics sorting and preservation Committee of the people's Government of Hubei Province, the director of the Provincial Museum of culture and history, a member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the democratic revolution, a member of the Central Committee of the democratic revolution, and a member of the Second Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference. He died in 1973 at the age of 94.
Character evaluation
Mr. Zhaonian was incorruptible all his life. He had a good command of wealth, a good financial management method, and a solid foundation for payment and receipt. He was known as the master of financial management and was well-known in the industrial, commercial and financial circles of Hubei Province. There is a folk saying: "unlike Zhao Gongming, Lao Shen does not have a tiger as a mount. He holds Yuanbao in one hand and a brush in the other. After the liberation of the people's Republic of China, in February 1953, during the launching of the five Anti Japanese movement, Comrade Li Xiannian, then chairman of the people's Government of Hubei Province, once said at the cadre meeting of the units directly under the provincial government, "Mr. Shen Zhaonian has been in charge of finance for many years in the Kuomintang government for decades, but we can't find out any facts of corruption. Why can't we Communists learn from him?"
