Character experience
Bai Cai's original name is Tong Hanzhang, with the word Guohua and a name of Tong Zhaohai. Gao'an, Jiangxi, was born in a commercial landlord family. After graduating from junbei primary school in 1911, he continued to study hard.
From 1915 to 1918, he left his hometown three times to roam famous mountains and rivers, and lived the life of a wandering poet. On the Double Ninth Festival in 1918, he returned to his hometown for missing his father. He once organized a student union, founded a library, and taught in Gao'an women's school. In 1921, he wrote the first vernacular novel begging for food. His family life full of disputes and unfortunate marriage made him deeply miserable.

He graduated at the end of 1923 and worked as a teacher in Shanghai. In 1924, he wrote the famous poem the love of the winner. Anecdotes of characters
Bai Cai is an unpredictable person. Although his history and character can be summarized from his relics, few people knew about him before he died, and he never told others that he only hesitated when you asked him. Since he is endowed with such a unique nature, he is naturally out of date, but we can see that he is a good friend and a sincere person.
"If you don't fight, you can't get to know each other," I know Bai Cai like this. This is for student Li Fang's poetry collection. Li Fang gave me his collection of poems to revise, and asked me to make a preface. I was in Wenzhou and he was in Shanghai. I have been busy for half a year, while Li Fang has died of an unknown emergency in Shanghai. I regretted my delay, so I took the time to work for him.
At this moment, Pingbo turned to Bai Cai's letter, two short lines, urging me to try to publish Li Fang's poem, and attached the novel the son of the poet, which was published in consciousness, for me to see. There were some sarcastic remarks in it. At that time, I felt that I didn't deserve such sarcasm, so I wrote a long letter of nearly 2000 words, detailing the beginning and end of the incident and explaining to him. When the letter went, he waited for a reply; but there was no news. When I no longer hope, he came a postcard; in my opinion, it's just a few words.
I can only say "how can it be satisfactory? But be worthy of my heart Self interpretation, just listening. However, Pingbo often sent letters to him because of the transfer of letters. In his letters, Pingbo repeatedly mentioned that he was an interesting person.
In August 1923, Li Fang, a student, died too early to see his poems published. Nearly three years later, Bai Caifu, a friend of mine, left the world suddenly and could not see the poetry review he wanted to see.
Although the death of these two people was not the fault of Mr. Zhu Ziqing, he felt sorry from the bottom of his heart. Therefore, with the yearning for his dead friend, he began to continue to write Bai Cai's poetry until August 27, 1926 (included in you and I, complete works of Zhu Ziqing, first edition of Jiangsu Education Press, 1988, Volume I, p224); then, he wrote a sincere nostalgic prose Bai CAI to express his nostalgia and regret for his dead friend.
From the two periods of contact between Mr. Zhu Ziqing and poets Li Fang and Bai Cai, we can see that no matter ordinary students or friends, Mr. Zhu Ziqing can help them to the end when they need help. He is really a loyal friend.
At the beginning, Li Fang, a student, asked him to revise the plum blossom and write a preface. He could refuse because he was busy. However, he agreed, even if he was just an ordinary student of his own. After Li Fang died of illness, he took the initiative to revise his poetry manuscript, and worked for the publication of plum blossom for four years, until he got the news that it would be published. Nowadays, how many teachers are willing to run for such a poor student? How many people are willing to run for their friends like this?
Think about Mr. Zhu Ziqing's poem review for Bai CAI. Although Bai Cai misunderstood Mr. Zhu Ziqing first, when he found that Bai Cai's poems were very impressive, Mr. Zhu Ziqing expressed his willingness to write a review for them. Now, how many writers have such spirit? Although this review has not been written yet, it is neither an active commitment to Bai Cai nor understandable that it can not be written as soon as possible. After Bai Cai's death, Mr. Zhu Ziqing devoted himself to writing this review and fulfilled the promise which is not a promise. If he is not a loyal friend, can he do it?
