Ye Weiming, formerly known as Ming, was born in Shexian County, Anhui Province, and lived in Hangzhou. The seal cutting is based on the Zhejiang School and the patriarchal clan system of the Qin and Han Dynasties. Together with Ding Ren, Wang Li, Li Liangyu and Wu Yin, Xiling Seal society was founded. His works include biography of Guangyin people, biography of Jinshi family, preserved catalogue of Ye's yinpu, Jinshi annals of Shexian County, Liexian Yinwan, etc.

Ye Weiming (1866-1948), another Ye Ming (1866-1948), with a new font and a third character, named Ye Zhou, was born in Xin'an, Huizhou. He was a native of Xinzhou and lived in Qiantang, Zhejiang Province (now Hangzhou). In 1884, he was born in Hangzhou Zongwen Yishu. In 1904, one of the founders of Xiling Seal engraver society, he established Xiling Seal engraver society with Ding Ren, Wang Zhen and Wu Yin, aiming to "preserve the gold and stone and study the seal study". He is good at calligraphy and painting. He is known as "three great masters of godliness". He is good at calligraphy, especially at seal and official script. He is simple and elegant, strict in structure and concise in writing. Based on the textual research of refined gold and stone, he has visited ancient steles in Li many times. In the summer of 1926, 25 famous painters, including Wu Changshuo, Huang Binhong, Wu Guxiang, Huang Shanshou and Lu Lianfu, were invited to make the painting of the stele in Shexian county. Qin and Han Dynasties were the patriarchal system of seal administration. They studied ancient seals, Han seals, yuan and Zhu dynasties, as well as modern Anhui and Zhejiang dynasties. They had profound skills, especially Han casting and five seals. In his later years, Zhu Wen of the Yuan Dynasty and Xiao Xi of the Warring States period were elegant and natural. His works include 70 memoirs, Huizhou visit stele, ye Zhou notes, guangyinren biography, 16 volumes, re Yinren biography, erjindietang seal, supplement guangyinren biography, jinshijia biography, Shexian jinshizhi, Shuowen mu, Yiyuan seal collection, Dunan relics, songshilu seal collection, etc. The collection includes biography of Guangyin people, Yeshi yinpu chengmu, Liexian Yinwan, tiehua'an Yinji, Yeshi series, the 10th anniversary of Xiling yinshe society, and the 30th anniversary of Xiling yinshe society. Together with Wu Changshuo, we carefully selected and approved 10 volumes of Jinshi calligraphy and painting records, the original of which are collected by members of Xiling yinshe society.
