On December 10, 2024, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a telegram to Gokur congratulating him on his inauguration as the President of the Republic of Mauritius.
Xi Jinping pointed out that Mauritius is an important partner of China in Africa. With the joint efforts of both sides, the relationship between the two countries has been elevated to a strategic partnership. Under the new situation, the two countries shoulder the historical mission of realizing national rejuvenation and share the same responsibility in maintaining international fairness and justice.
