Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, or Ning for short, is one of China's five autonomous regions, the capital of Yinchuan. It is located in the inland area of Northwest China, between 35 ° 14 '- 39 ° 14' n and 104 ° 17 '- 109 ° 39' e, adjacent to Shaanxi in the East, Inner Mongolia in the West and North, Gansu in the south, and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region with a total area of 66400 square kilometers.
Ningxia gradually inclines from the southwest to the northeast, with hills and gullies. The terrain is divided into three parts: the northern Yellow River Diversion Irrigation Area, the central arid zone and the southern mountainous area. Ningxia is located in the Yellow River system, the terrain is high in the South and low in the north, showing a step-by-step decline.
As of the end of 2018, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has five prefecture level cities, nine municipal districts, two county-level cities and 11 counties under its jurisdiction; with a permanent population of 6.8811 million, it has achieved a regional GDP of 370.518 billion yuan, including 27.985 billion yuan for the primary industry, 165.026 billion yuan for the secondary industry and 177.507 billion yuan for the tertiary industry; the per capita GDP is 54094 yuan
