Han Yan (753 ~ 787) was born in Heyang County, Henan Province. During the Tang Dynasty, Han Yu, a minister, was the elder brother of Han Yu.

He studied hard, became a Jinshi, served in the shogunate, and moved to the palace to serve the censor.

In the third year of Zhenyuan, he joined the Pingliang league with Hun Li, was hijacked by Tubo and died bravely. He died at the age of 35

Life of the characters

Han Yan is from Heyang, Henan Province. Han Yu's elder brother, the Jinshi ascended the throne. During the reign of emperor Dezong, he served as a censor in the Leiguan palace. From Sikong Hun to Pingliang, he made alliance with Tubo. Later, Tubo made the incident of robbing the alliance in Pingliang. Han Yan was captured and died in the war.
