Life of the characters
Han Yi's ancestors were Zhending Lingshou people, and later moved to yongqiu County, Kaifeng Prefecture. In the fifth year of Xianping (1002), Han Yi became a Jinshi, appointed Dali to judge affairs, and knew Yongcheng County of Bozhou. He was famous for his political work. For other cases that can not be decided in the lawsuits of the prefectures, Han Yi will handle them. Later, Chen Zhou was judged to be flooded by the river, and it cost tens of thousands to build the dike. Han Yi did not collect taxes from the people to build the dike. Song Zhenzong wanted to call Han Yi for a test, but because he was the son-in-law of Prime Minister Wang Dan, he specially called him to Yangzhou. After many promotions, he served as the Minister of state, the Tuen Tian Yuan wailang and Zhixiang Zhou. Hebei drought, transshipment will not tell the truth, so Han Yi alone said that the famine, hoping to lend people rent rice. Han Gang, the son of Han Yi, was falsely accused of accepting bribes. Han Yi requested to handle the case himself. Although the matter was clear, he was demoted to the office of Da Ming Fu to pass the sentence. Before long, he served as a royal censor in the palace and was promoted to serve as a royal censor to pacify Huaihe and Zhejiang provinces. He was also promoted to a magistrate of Kaifeng Prefecture and served as a transit envoy of Hebei Province. In the early years of emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty, Han Yi was appointed as zhishiguan and zhiqingzhou. He was appointed as the magistrate of Dali temple. When Wu Zhizhi was in Linjiang army, he sent people to offer money and bribes to the Prime Minister Wang qinruo. Because the petty official came to the capital and was interrogated, the matter came to light. If Wang qinruo knew that he could not cover it up, he arrested the petty official. Renzong issued an imperial edict to deliver it to Taisi, but Wu Zhi said that he did not pay the gold. Instead, he falsely accused the petty official of giving Wang qinruo his greetings to his relatives and friends. Han Yi investigated the case to the end, and eventually Wu Zhi was removed. He asked Wang qinruo, but Renzong issued an imperial edict not to discuss the matter. The third division changed the tea law, and the annual assessment results were not registered. Han Yi impeached by the imperial edict, and was punished for misconduct from the prime minister down. Since Xue Kui took office, Han Yi has been in charge of Taiwan Affairs alone for more than one year. he was appointed to the Longtu pavilion to be appointed as an envoy to Khitan. At this time, the Deputy envoy, who was the in laws of the Empress Dowager Zhang Xian, willed to convey the Empress Dowager's will to Khitan, telling Khitan that the South and the north were happy and that the descendants would pass it on from generation to generation. Han Yi didn't know at first. Khitan asked Han Yi, "the Empress Dowager has a decree. Why does the ambassador not say it?" Han Yi replied, "every time our Dynasty sends envoys, the Empress Dowager will use this to warn envoys. She does not want to rely on the Northern Dynasty." The Khitan master was overjoyed and said, "this is the blessing of the people of the two dynasties." People say that the Deputy envoy has lost his words, but Han Yi takes advantage of the situation and turns the gaffe into a favor. He is highly praised. After that, Han Yi went out to know Bozhou, entered the court of criminal justice, and was promoted to the rank of doctor of the military department and liuneiquan of the same judge. On the right, he advised the doctor and the Privy straight bachelor to go out to know Yizhou. According to the past practice, Yizhou provided 60000 official millet stones to the poor every year. This year, there was a great drought. Han Yi gave several times of grain to the people first, so they didn't go hungry. He also dredged the jiushengjiang estuary and irrigated thousands of hectares of farmland. Weizhou and Maozhou are adjacent to the Qiang nationality. Every year, the Tibetan tribe goes to Yongkang officialdom to sell horses. Considering that the Tibetan tribe takes the opportunity to investigate the situation in Liangchuan, Han Yi moves the horse selling farm to Lizhou. Later, he was granted the title of censor Zhongcheng. He asked to set up a supervisory system like the official system of the Tang Dynasty. In 1035, Han Yi knew the Privy Council Affairs as a minister. At that time, after a long period of Chengping in the Song Dynasty, Han Yi asked the two governments to list dozens of generals with superior talents and try them out gradually. He also said that military officials should know about military affairs, but the book was forbidden and did not spread. Please compile the main points to teach them. In this way, Renzong himself compiled a collection of Shenwu mysteries to give to the minister guarding the border. Kusiluo, the Tubo leader of Qing Tang Dynasty, fought with Li Yuanhao, the leader of Dangxiang and the king of Xiping. He defeated Dangxiang army in the battle of Zongge River and sent an envoy to win. Tingyi added to the control. Han Yi believed that both of them were Tibetan ministers, who fought against each other. Instead of mediation, the court offered rewards, which was not the way of "Suiyu Sifang". The discussion then ceased. Li Yuanhao sent envoys to Kaifeng every year to enter and leave the people freely. Han Yi asked for an imperial edict to set up a museum to treat the party envoys with courtesy. The government was in charge of the trade. Although it was cumbersome on the surface, it could actually restrain and guard against it. In 1036, Fan Zhongyan, the Kaifeng government, presented a hundred official pictures, accusing the Prime Minister Lu Yijian of favoritism and promoting him to an official position, but secretly recommended Han Yikan to be a great use. After Fan Zhongyan was demoted, Renzong told Han Yi about it. Han Yi said: "Fan Zhongyan's incompetence is known by his majesty when he chooses his subordinates with his public will. When he chooses his subordinates with his private will, he has never entrusted them to others since he entrusted them with the pledge." Renzong heard of the speech, promoted him to be the Minister of the Ministry of household affairs, and participated in political affairs. At this time, there was a big earthquake in Xinzhou. Han Qi, the admonitor, wrote that the prime ministers Wang Sui and Chen yaozuo were not the talents to assist the prime minister. He also said that Han Zong, Han Yi's son, should not replace him with Han Gang. Therefore, as the ruling Han Yi was dismissed from office, he went out to know yingtianfu, and soon became a Bachelor of zizhengdian and zhichengdejun. Later, he changed to know Danzhou and Bozhou, and finally became the official of zuocheng. In the second year of Qingli (1042), Han Yi became an official as the crown prince. In 1044, Han Yi died at the age of 73. His posthumous title is "Zhongxian" (a work of Zhongxian).
